Ask Me Answers [Part 1]

I was very excited to answer all YOUR questions :) I had so many I decided to do it in 2 parts. I will post the 2nd part on Saturday :) I added some pics so it wasn't just boring type :)

What's your favorite type of cookie?
I'm a simple girl, I love me some chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin is a close second though ;)

Do you absolutely despise any foods?
I am a food girl, I love pretty much anything. I do have to say peppers and onions are not favorites of mine. I do however like onion rings.. weird I know

What's your favorite scent?
This is going to sound weird, but I love the smell of newborn babies. They have the sweetest scent. I noticed when both of my kids lost the "baby" smell and it made me sad :(

What's your favorite non-fashion trend of the last decade?
Texting and e-mail have to be in my top 5. Things go so much quicker. Don't get me wrong, letter wise I prefer snail mail, but when I have a quick question or just want to say something random, texting and e-mail is the way to go.

Do you think your astrological sign fits you?
I think it fits me to a T!! I'm a Leo and I hold every characteristic of being one.

Leo Characteristics: Confident, Ambitious, Generous, Loyal, Encouraging
Pretentious, Domineering, Melodramatic, Stubborn (very), Vain

What would you do for a klondike bar?
lol love this question. I wouldn't do anything that haunted me for sure hehe

How did you and your hubby meet?
Me and the Hubs met through an Ex. We were friends for about 3 1/2 years before we got together, which is why I think our relationship is so strong. We have a blast together and his easy going personality evens out my uptight personality. He's the cream in my Twinkie, milk to my Oreo, peanut butter to my jelly, Wall-E to my Eva, he's the Danny to my Sandy.

Your first concert?
The first concert I ever went to was N'SYNC. I remember sneaking up to the 6th row with my mom and then getting caught by security, very very fun night :)

If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
I would have to say New York, I have always wanted to experience the hussle and bussle of the city and shop in the amazing stores and take in all the beautiful buildings and parks.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years...life, love, family, career, goals, places?
Hopefully owning our own home, further south. Maybe I will have a job since Kaylee will be in school and Joseph will be retiring a few years later. So pretty settled would be great in 5 years.

When did you start LOVING pandas?
I have always loved pandas, I am not exactly sure what sparked the obsession. All I know is that every time I look at a panda I get super Happy :) Pandas are my thang, lol.

What were you like as a teenager?
I was a complete terror, I'm sure is what my parents would tell you. I wasn't the worse teenager ever but I did have my "teenager moments". I was usually too scared to do anything "bad", but I did have an attitude on me. I definetly know what to expect now with my kids and I'm not looking forward to it.

When did your chap stick obsession begin or have you always had it?
I am pretty sure I have always (as far as I can remember) been addicted to chapstick. Just thinking about it I'm putting some on. I take immense care of my lips, they are my best feature :)

What is the one beauty product that you can't live without?
Does chapstick count? If so, chapstick!! This is my chapstick of choice! I have like 10 tubes around my house!

Whats your favorite craft that you've made?
Oh there are so many, I am loving the way my plushies are coming out and I absolutely love the hamster and anchor, so its a tie between those 2! I put a lot of love into those plushies, so I really adore them.

Do you have a large stationery stash?
It's not too big, I go through it too fast to keep any large amount. I am always shopping for more. I love love writing letters!

How is life different living on a military base than civilian life?
Let me count the many ways! Well we have exercises constantly going on the "loud voice", which are speakers all over the base practicing (if there were to be an attack) and also announces bad weather. We also have retreat (National Anthem) play everyday at 4:30pm (sometimes 5:00)and face the flag, if the is no flag then you face the music. Uniformed military salute the music or flag. They also play Taps at 10:00pm everyday, to show respect for our fallen heroes.

There are a lot of rules when you live in base housing. Lawn maintenance, water usage, electricity usage, even down to the breeds of dogs you can't have (unless they are grandfathered in, like mine). Base is sort of like living in your own little town, we have our own restaurants, BX (small mall) and commissary (grocery store), shoppette (like a 7/11) you can rent movies and buy alcohol here as well, school, community centers, parks, and churches. You also get a special I.D which you have to show to get on base and sometimes even at the grocery store.

What is your favorite childhood memory and toy?
There are so many, for now the ones that stick out are Halloween. My mom made our costumes every year by hand. I love love them :) My favorite toy would have to be my redheaded cabbage patch doll or my fieval. I was really into dolls and stuffed animals and had little tea parties with them :)

If you could live anywhere where would it be?
In the south.. anywhere lol. As long as I'm away from snow I'll be happy.

I'll be back tomorrow with all the projects I've been working on. Happy Thursday!!!

xoxo,
Lindsay

  4. You would LOVE NYC!!!! I have only been 3 times, but I originally wanted to move there, not anymore since I have Addy though lol. Base housing must seem so strange to people when they read about it lol, we hear guns going off and bombs all the time for exercises (ugh). Nsync was the best ever lol, I always wanted to go to a concert! Everyone asked really great questions! Love you! Oh and this week went by SOO fast we never squeezed in a play date!

  5. My mom used to make my Halloween costumes by hand too! The costumes nowadays are so unoriginal. My most memorable Halloween costumes are a stuffed apple, an Indian princess, a New Jersey lottery ticket, and a Highway to Hell.

  11. Loved reading your answers!

I bet reading about living on base/post does sound weird to some people. We've lived on post and off, but I prefer on. Some of the rules can be a little crazy sounding, but I feel so safe living on post. We heard the guys out at the range the other day and Kaylee said "mom, are those soldiers going to stop shooting anytime soon? I need some quiet." haha!

Can't wait to read part 2!
