Halfway There...

It's finally the 3 month mark of Joseph's deployment, halfway. It feels like time has flown by, but at the same time I realized how much has actually happened in the 3 months he has been gone. A lot! The first half of every month goes by so quickly for me, but it seems the second half drags. I'm fortunate enough to be able to talk to my hubby everyday via Skype, I'm very very thankful!! He switched shifts this past week so our skyping time went from hours a day, to literally 10ish minutes (if we are lucky). Setting aside time every weekend will be a must just so we can *catch up*.

In celebration of surviving the first 3 months I splurged on some JUMBO cupcakes... yea.. JUMBO!!! Red Velvet with cream cheese icing, my favorite!!!! I didn't realize how big they were going to be until I picked them up from the bakery. I shared some of them with my favorite mailman and of course the kids. Of coursse I did a photoshoot, did you even have to ask????

I can't wait until November when I get to see my hubby again and the kids can hug their Daddy :) I'm pretty sure I'm going to staplegun him to my side... yep, I'm pretty positive!

Here's to another 3 months... may they go by quick, and the bad days be few and far between!!! Thank you to my mom and all my wonderful girlfriends who have given me their constant support, love and Skype dates!! :) You guys are the best! I love you!

xoxo,
Lindsay

  16. Congrats on half way! That's so awesome that you can still talk to him every day :) When my mom was in Iraq (in 2004), we only got to talk to her once a month or so. Just knowing they're over there is hard!

And jumbo cupcakes?! Sounds amazing :D

  20. Visiting from New friend Fridays. Those cupcakes look delicious! My hubby (fiancee at the time) was deployed right when all this started. Boy how things have changed. We didn't have Skype then and I never knew when I would be able to talk to him. When I did, it was on the phone for a very brief period. Stay strong and he will be home soon.
