Cherry Blossom Tattoo

So I've already been thinking about my next tattoo and I want to go BIG. I know my mom is probably shaking her head at me right now...

I'm pretty sure (95% anyway) that I want a cherry blossom tree going up along my side and on my some of my back. I've been looking at a lot of inspiration lately for one and there are SO many out there I was amazed. These are my favorite...

Also thrown in is some gorgeous cherry blossoms themselves..

I'm curious to know how my readers feel about tattoos. What's your take on them?

So I wanna know... are you for tattoos, against them, don't care either way, or do you like them but wouldn't get one yourself?

xoxo,
Lindsay

  5. I love the first picture the best... what a beautiful black and white. As for me- I considered a tatoo in my twenties- I like them- but I just always put it off. I'm glad about that now, because now I'm getting old and flabby and i don't think it would look as cool now. So my official opinion is that I like them on others, but I wouldn't get one myself.

  6. I love love love tattoos, and I plan on getting more as soon as I can afford it. As for the cherry blossoms, I think they are beautiful :) I would go for it if I were you!

  8. those cherry blossom tatts are so pretty--i think i like the first one best.

i'm all for tattoos. i dont have any myself, and dont plan on getting any. but i think its a personal choice, and so it should matter to who the tattoo is on, not anyone else. i've never looked down on anyone who had tattoos (the contrary actually--i hate needles way too much to even think about doing it, so that kind of guts is admirable!).

  9. I think tattoos are so cute although I would never get one myself.. mostly because I'm a wimp when it comes to needles! ha! But seriously, I think this is the cutest idea for a tattoo! So fun!

  16. I like to look at other people's tattoo's because I fee like I'm reading a book and seeing their story. It's def art. But would never get one myself because A.) I'm deathly afraid of needles B.) I am constantly changing and get sick of things over the years C.)My body is always changing and therefore the tattoo would prob end up saggy and sick. and D.) I probably would be bugged if my kids ever got one and I don't want to have to explain why it's okay for me but not for them.
    But cherry blossom's are beautiful.

  23. where did mrs sue's comment go? i missed it! poo :(

she was all for us getting them when we were in springfield :) we talked about them for like, half an hour!

  24. Your mum's comment was so cute! :)

I used to think tattoos = gang members, because that's how it usually is over here. You should see the scary images they tattooed on themselves and most symbolises their gang identity.

More recently though, I began to change my mindset after seeing more artistic and harmless tattoos on people. I saw those that you ladies tattooed the previous time together and thought they were so cute! So now, I'm not against them, rather like to look at them, but will not be getting any. Besides, I'm in an organisation that doesn't allow tattoos. :)

  25. I love tattoos! However, I can not get any because I have allergic reactions to inks even when people just draw on my skin so I am too scared of what would happen. I would hate to get a stunning tattoo then for it to become infected and look hideous.

  26. There was a period in my life that i was thinkin' about getting a little tattoo on my ankle. But i didn't & i'm still happy about that xD Tattoos are really pieces of Art work, but not on my body. If you aren't sure about a tattoo or don't want a permanent one you can always get a henna one ;) I'm not really against tattoos but i'm not a big fan either.. so i would go with the comment of you mom lol plant a tree :P I would say if you really really want one, go for it! I'm curious about your decision :) XO. Vera

  27. yay!! go for it! I love love all of your inspiration pictures!

tattoos are something that if you really want them you should go for it or else you will justify putting it off for a long time. I still have yet to finish my typewriter, start my sewing machine, fix my giraffe, and get a secret tattoo of a favorite person!

    DON'T WAIT :)

  28. I think tattoos are really cool so long as they have some sort of meaning to you, and that you're not just going to the tattoo parlor and picking out a random picture. My boyfriend has a tattoo on his back that's really cool, and I'm planning on getting my first tattoo at the end of this summer :)

btw, I REALLY like the third picture from the top. That one is absolutely GORGEOUS. It looks like it was drawn with a calligraphy pen!

  29. Im very for tattoos (as you know) and I think if they are well thought out, planned in advanced, and a good design then you should get it as soon as you feel ready. Dont get bogged down by what other people think! I spent too long doing that. The cherry blossom looks gorgeous, I'm excited for you :) sounds like a lovely idea xx

  30. I love cherry blossom trees. This will be a beautiful tat. I have 4 & want at least 3 more. How many do you have?

  31. I really like those tattoos! They are beautiful! I have been looking into tattoos since before I was 18 and have yet to decide what I would like to get. I think that cherry blossom trees are so beautiful and they would be a wonderful tattoo! My next, and first tattoo is - hopefully - going to be a picture of the tribal Hawaiian sea turtle. Its supposed to bring good luck. I went there in 08 and was going to get it then but it was over 100 for a tattoo about an inch in size! lol anyway, good luck with your tattoo decisions!!

  32. I love all of those!! Yes, I love tattoos and yes, I have a few. I want a vintage camera for my next tattoo. I have always wanted a moon on my big toe. I wouldn't mind having a half sleeve but I am nervous about what my grandparents would say and what it would look like when I am old.

have a beautiful Tuesday--:D love ya gina

  33. I love tattoos but don't have any myself. I would love to get one but honestly even at my age I am afraid my father will disown me. Ha! My husband isn't a big fan either so I go back and forth on getting one. If I ever do though it will be on my forearm!
I love the cherry blossom idea and would be perfect for the area you want to put it! Go for it!

  36. Okay so number one, I love love love cherry blossoms and number 2, I love love love tattoos/any body modifications- So saying that, I say do what YOU want and what will make YOU happy. I have tattoos, my ears are stretched, I have various peircings and I can't wait to get more... and nothing makes me more upset than when people judge you on your appearance. So DO IT! You will rock it and the fact that you're so tall will make it look even better in my opinion :D

  37. I do love tattoos :)
    and those are very pretty!!!
I love DC in march with all the blossoms :)

  38. I adore cherry blossom trees!! I think there is just something magical about them!! That is such a lovely idea for a tattoo! I think it would be a really elegant tattoo. I'm not against tattoos, and I love seeing the tattoos that other people get. I'm just terrified of the idea of a tattoo because it is so permanent. So I don't think I will ever get one myself, although my mindset may change later on in the future. I really admire people who put so much thought into their tattoos. Most people have a story behind their choices and that just fascinates me.

  39. addicting arent they? I love the idea of a cherry blossom tattoo. I've been thinking of getting some kind of tree too. But I'm gonna get a sleeve with a bunch of parts of masterpieces from my favorite artists first. I love tattoos, I think it's awesome that you can permanently carry a piece of art on your body.

  41. Mmm, I love tattoos and I'm always living vicariously through blogger friends and IRL friends who have them. I'm just not sure I can ever commit to a tattoo for the rest of my life, haha! I heart the femininity of cherry blossom tattoos, though. <3
