You Will Be Remembered

As some of you may know, yesterday I lost someone very dear to me. My Popi was the best great-grandfather in the world, he passed at the age of 94. I use to stay summers with him and my Mimi in Oklahoma. I wish more than anything I could be there for my Mimi right now. I can't imagine how she must be feeling. Mimi and Popi were married for 74 years!!! I talked to her last night and she seemed in good spirits. Love you Mimi.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, his son in-laws, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. I love you Popi, one day we will meet again.
I'll never forget the times he would walk me to the chicken coop to collect eggs, or when he would go with me to pet the horses. I also remember going to watch him and Mimi run at the Senior Olympics. He was one of the most honorable men I have ever known and know now where my Dad gets his great traits from. Love you Popi.

With all this being said, I don't like to leave posts too sad so I'm going to post some happy pictures.

Thank you to everyone who has been there for me through this tough time. Your messages and e-mails mean the world to me. Even though I can't be with my family right now, it's nice to know I still have support through friends. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers.

xoxo,
Lindsay

  1. Baby I am sooo sorry that I cant be there for you. I wish I was there to help you go through this. I know how much your Popi meant to you. From what you have told me he sounded like he was a great man and the world is a little less bright without him. If there is anything I can do from over here let me know. I am glad to see you have so many friends to help you get through these rough times. Just remember he is at peace now. I love you and take care.

  15. Linds Popi would smile at your tribute to him. We are so lucky he was our Grampa and blessed by all the fun memories we had with him. You were his favorite redheaded grandbaby! :) there is a little bit of Popi in all of his grandchilden. You have his woke ethic and family bonding.

Luv the pics esp of the little girl at the end of the pier looking out into the heavens. So many ways you can interpret these pics.

Wish you could be home with us during this tender time. You know you are here in our hearts.

    Luv, thoughts and memories,

    momma
