DIY Washi Tape

This is my first ever DIY, but it's a fast, easy and a super genius one... I think. So everyone knows how much I love washi tape AND wood grain right? Well, if you didn't (and couldn't tell by my blog layout) now you know. I came up with this genius idea when I was doing my art journal awhile back and I'm just now getting around to actually sharing this tidbit. I'm horrible, I know!!

I have been looking for wood grain washi tape EVERYWHERE and to no avail. Then, one day a light bulb clicked in my head... What about using wood grain contact paper? Its like 3-5$ for 2 feet (You find this at walmart in the kitchen/housewares dept by the shelf liners), that's like endless washi tape right there and for nothing!!!!!

They even have those handy grids on the back to help you cut in a straight line, AND you can make it as long or short or WIDE as you want it!!!!

GENIUS!

SO here is your step by step....

Supplies:
Wood grain contact paper
scissors

1. Roll out your wood grain contact paper

2. Decide how wide/long you want your tape... I find that one square across is the perfect size.

3. cut..

4. Look at your amazing work (all that cutting right?) and use it for something creative and genius!!

Wow that was super easy, cheap and just plain awesome!!!

Here is the page I used it on :) Betcha thought it was washi tape huh?

I hope I'm not already telling everyone something you already know. If so, I still plan on acting as if I came up with this idea... LOL anyway.

How did you ever live without this information???

Ok, off to do some work!!!
Loves!!

xoxo,
Lindsay

I've been thinking about washi tape at least once a day since you posted that link. :) SOSO pretty!
