Oh goodness! I think this is the longest I have ever gone without updating my little space. I had a nice little break and used it to get super crafty. I made tons of new product for the craft venue tonight and got to finally catch up on my DVR. Tonight I'll be in my FIRST ever craft venue! I'm so excited, but so nervous too!! If your in the Minot area and want directions, e-mail me!! It will be lots of fun and there will be so many talented ladies with lots of goodies! Something for everyone :) I'll post lots of pics Sunday! Wish me luck!! :) EEEk!
Now for the cuteness..... I found a super cute owl plushie pattern floating around the blog world and had to make my own. (Click Here for the pattern made by Viviana). I love love how they turned out and put my own little spin on it. I hand-stitched it instead and added a cutie bow to Tawnie. Bringing these little guys with me tonight!! Too cute!!

Hi! My name is Viviana and I am the creator of this pattern. It would be great if you could share the credits to me (the creator) and to Elsie's blog, where I shared this DIY as a courtesy to my friend: http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/10/tricks-treats-little-birdie-plush-by-viviana-agostinho.html
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I agree with Viviana you should give credit where credit is do. You didn't do too much tweaking to this pattern. I am not trying to be rude but it is not a fun feeling to have your ideas taken and posted as someone else's. You are a very creative person and talented. I hope you do not take offense to my comment. I like seeing the things you make but when you obviously used someone else's pattern you need to give credit.

ReplyDeleteI see the blog police have been roaming around (as usual). People need to get a life. It was pretty obvious that you didn't post these as your own as you stated you found the pattern online.
ReplyDeleteAs for your plushies, they're beautiful and I love them!
I want to clear something up, I never stated this pattern was my idea. Matter of fact, I cleary stated that I saw it floating around the blog world. I also said I tweaked it (handstitched and added a bow), but never did I say this was mine. I have since added the link (which was my mistake for not adding it the first time, sry Viviana) so there was no confusion. For the people who bought these owls, they saw in THIS post it was not my creation. Sorry for any inconvience this has caused.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Lindsay
Lindsay, I think you were pretty clear that this wasn't your creation! It's linked now, and it's all good :) Love you!!
ReplyDeleteso glad that this misunderstanding was cleared up. Appears some didn't read the original blog or they would have not been confused that it was clearly stated you gave a DIY credit for your owls. There was never any intent to hurt anyone's feelings or to take credit as an orig of yours. Yes, you did add your own "touch" to it which actually made them quite adorable. Those that responsed could have been a little less attacking. Viv has been linked to her DIY -I hope all this is satisfactory to all involved. There was no intention on taking credit for someone's idea. I hope they know you well enough as I do that this was an unintentional oversite which has been since corrected.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone has a great day!
Malice is not part of your life and never has been but I understand all the concern this caused you. Esp since you are not a person to take credit from someone else.
cute!
