Yesterday I went to JoAnn's and stocked up on some craft stuff. I went a little crazy with the DMC floss and didn't realize until I reached the checkout counter just how much I had been throwing in my cart. I got captivated by the colors and realize now how many hours it will actually take to wrap all this thread...... Anyone want to wrap this... anyone?? *crickets*



I had a little photo shoot today and made a cute DMC Floss heart :)

I also scored this amazing handmade fabric. Each square was stitched. Handmade fabrics are quite expensive, thank goodness for coupons... I can't wait to make something gorgeous out of it. I know I'll be using it to cover a journal and possibly making a pillow out of it too!!

Which leads me to some exciting news. I was brainstorming last night with my instax BFF and I am super excited to announce I have a new line coming to the Pixies and Bears shop. I'm working on it all this weekend (in between the fawn plushie orders) and should be able to show some of the collectibles next week!!!! It's going to be super cute so keep checking back for updates!!

Weather permitting there will be a photo-shoot this weekend!!! yay!!!! Off to work!!

Journaling For A Cause

So most of you know my super cute friend Janel had an amazing 30 Day Journal Challenge. I was getting sadder and sadder the last few days because I didn't want it to end. Then I find out she is having a class now!!!! How amazing is that???



What makes this class even better??? All the funds go toward her and Adam's adoption fund. What better way to bring a family together and have fun at the same time!!



Here is a quote from her post:

"As most of you know, my husband and I are planning on adopting a child in the next year or two. This is obviously a crazy process and a crazy EXPENSIVE process at that. So I was thinking of hosting another journal class, with new prompts, new challenges, giveaways, chats, and a fun community of online friends to share it with. I was thinking that if I could charge $10 for a class spot and make it a private blog for participants only, it would be a great way to earn money for our adoption!!"

Here is a look into Janel's old journals to give you an idea of what is to come. (Although some of these pages are from other online classes that she has taken, it's just to show you HER personal style and her takes on those pages.)



Again, this is just a peek of what she has done in the past, these aren't pages that we will be doing in the class :) Janel has another 30 days of journaling prompts and cute techniques for you to challenge yourself with.

The class will begin July 26 (a Monday) and go on for 30 days :) A new prompt and challenge, every single day!!
